Our Toilets

To date SHRI has built 8 facilities in traditionally underserved Indian communities

The Specifics: Each of our facilities has 8 toilets for men, an additional 8 for women, 10 hand washing stations, an office, a supply room, and the biogas digester (where we produce methane gas).

SHRI Buys Local: We believe it's important that our facilities engage with and benefit the communities they operate in from the very beginning. For that reason, SHRI prioritizes working with local laborers and using local materials in the construction of our sanitation facilities.

Easy Access to SanitationOur facilities are open 4am to 10pm daily and available to everyone in the community regardless of gender, religion, or station. Thousands use SHRI's toilets every day, preventing the spread of disease and improving the hygiene of their communities.
